The beers of the Kaiserdom Specialitäten Brewery are intended to satisfy even the most demanding of beer drinkers. Experience gained as a brewer since 1718 and a careful handling of the beers during storage form the
basis for the high quality of our beers. Internal quality circles and external audits help us
to meet our own high standards.
The Kaiserdom Specialitäten Brewery has been awarded prizes by the DLG for over 30 years. The beer test of DLG is one of the most demanding in the world. It includes not only the important taste test, but also an analytical test. Taste stability and durability are also graded. In 2020, we were again able to accept the coveted „Price for long-term product quality” for our beers. „Constant quality is important to acquire the confidence of beer drinkers. “The awards received for many years for product quality from DLG, documents that we have maintained our high quality standards for more than 30 years“, says CEO Georg Wörner.
We are certified according to the international food standard IFS Food 6.1, it is a GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) recognized standard for auditing food manufacturers. It stands for the highest food standard and is a must-have for every food producer. The focus is on food safety and the quality of processes and products.
Training at Kaiserdom
According to the Bavarian purity law, only „hops, malt and water” may be added to the beer. But in order to be able to brew high-quality beer specialities, something else is needed: the knowledge and experience of well-trained brewers. We are committed to the brewing tradition and training young brewers for many years. Many of our former trainees found their way to a master school or university after their apprenticeship years. Today, some of them successfully continue to run their parents’ breweries and thus ensure the traditional variety of beer in and around Bamberg. In addition to brewers and maltsters, we also train in commercial occupations.
