European Beer Star Award

The European Beer Star has been organised by the Verband der Privaten Brauereien Bayern since 2004 and has long since become one of the most important beer competitions in the world. This top-class competition honours genuine, characterful and high-quality beers.
2022 our „Dark Lager“ has won the Gold award and 2020 we got the Bronze Medal for our „Helles“ in the King’s Class Mild Lager

World Beer Awards

Since its inception in 2007, the World Beer Awards have developed into one of the most prestigious beer competitions in the international area. An expert team of beer brewers, beer sommeliers and journalists evaluates beers from all over the world. These are the global awards selecting the very best in all the international recognised styles.

Women’s International Trophy

The Women’s International Trophy is a unique event in Germany, tasted by an international jury composed only of women at the highest level. Each sample is blind-tasted by female experts on the basis of sensorial analysis criteria. The competition awards medals to no more than a third of the samples presented.

Meineinger´s International

Craft Beer Award

Meininger’s International Craft Beer Award is a unique competition for beer. The specifics of each individual style are taken into account, the beers are individually evaluated and described. This allows a direct comparison with other beers and gives all brewers detailed feedback. Since 2018, we have been successfully participating in the Meininger’s International Craft Beer Award with our Kaiserdom Beers.

Frankfurt International Trophy

The Frankfurt International Beer Trophy is a large international competition in Germany. Experienced amateurs and experts from around the world taste and judge the beers together. It ist precisely this mixture that distinguishes the Frankfurt International Beer Trophy and makes it so specific, as this reveals what consumers really think.
In 2020, we were awarded gold and silver in two categories right away at our debut participation and were awarded gold and silver. In the following years, our beers also scored points and were regularly awarded.

IFS Certification

We are certified according to the international food standard IFS Food 7 (higher level), it is a GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) recognized standard for auditing food manufacturers. It stands for the highest food standard and is a must-have for every food producer. The focus is on food safety and the quality of processes and products.

DLG

The Kaiserdom Specialitäten Brewery has been awarded prizes by the DLG for over 30 years. The beer test of DLG is one of the most demanding in the world. It includes not only the important taste test, but also an analytical test. Taste stability and durability are also graded. In 2020, we were again able to accept the coveted „Price for long-term product quality“ for our beers. „Constant quality is important to acquire the confidence of beer drinkers. The awards received for many years for product quality from DLG, documents that we have maintained our high quality standards for more than 30 years“, says CEO Georg Wörner.

Training at Kaiserdom

According to the Bavarian purity law, only „hops, malt and water“ may be added to the beer. But in order to be able to brew high-quality beer specialities, something else is needed: the knowledge and experience of well-trained brewers. We are committed to the brewing tradition and training young brewers for many years. Many of our former trainees found their way to a master school or university after their apprenticeship years. Today, some of them successfully continue to run their parents’ breweries and thus ensure the traditional variety of beer in and around Bamberg. In addition to brewers and maltsters, we also train in commercial occupations.
