Die Kaiserdom Specialit\u00e4ten Brauerei Bamberg besteht seit 1718
und ist die gr\u00f6\u00dfte der zw\u00f6lf\u00a0<\/span>Bamberger Brauereien.
<\/span>Seit \u00fcber 100 Jahren befindet sie sich im Besitz der Familie W\u00f6rner.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1039<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bier hat in Bamberg lange Tradition.\u00a0Die erste urkundliche Erw\u00e4hnung gab es bereits 1039, als der Bamberger Domherr Ouldaricus verf\u00fcgte, dass es an seinem Todestag f\u00fcr die Bamberger Freibier geben sollte.
Es ist anzunehmen, dass im Benediktinerkloster auf dem Michaelsberg bereits seit 1122 gebraut wurde.<\/p>\n

1489<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

Die Landesf\u00fcrsten waren schon damals auf gute Qualit\u00e4t des Bieres bedacht. So erlie\u00df 1489 der F\u00fcrstbischof Heinrich III das Bamberger Reinheitsgebot, indem er festlegte, dass beim Einsieden \u201enichts mere denn Hopfen, Malz und Wasser zu nemen sey\u201c\u00a0 \u2013 bereits 27 Jahre vor dem Erlass des\u00a0 Bayerischen Reinheitsgebots<\/p>\n

18. Jahrhundert<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

Der Aufstieg zur Bierstadt gelang Bamberg im 18. Jahrhundert. Insbesondere in der Sch\u00f6nbornzeit, unter dem F\u00fcrstbischof Lothar Franz (1693- 1729) und Friedrich Karl (1729- 1746) von Sch\u00f6nborn, wurden Handel und Handwerk stark gef\u00f6rdert; es brach so etwas wie ein Wirtschaftswunder aus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eines davon geh\u00f6rte dem Benediktinerkloster St. Michaelsberg zu Bamberg \u2013 wof\u00fcr seinerzeit der damalige Wirt Georg Morg die Erlaubnis erhielt, ein Brauhaus einzurichten.<\/span><\/p>\n

Die Brauerei hie\u00df zun\u00e4chst \u201eBrauerei W\u00f6rner\u201c bzw. sp\u00e4ter \u201eB\u00fcrgerbr\u00e4u Gaustadt\u201c. Seit dieser Zeit ist die Brauerei im Besitz der Familie W\u00f6rner, mittlerweile in 4. Generation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

lm Laufe der folgenden Jahre konnte der Aussto\u00df st\u00e4ndig gesteigert werden, ab 1956 wurden auch alkoholfreie Erfrischungsgetr\u00e4nke hergestellt. Dies hatte zur Folge, dass die Brauerei Mitte der 60er Jahre zu klein wurde. Da f\u00fcr Erweiterungen bestand am alten Standort keine M\u00f6glichkeit bestand, fassten Theodor und Ludwig W\u00f6rner den mutigen Entschluss, eine v\u00f6llig neue Brauerei auf der gr\u00fcnen Wiese zu erstellen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nach zweij\u00e4hriger Bauzeit konnte dann im M\u00e4rz 1969 der erste Sud Bier in der neuen Brauerei erfolgen. In weiteren drei Baustufen der Folgejahre erreichte die Brauerei ihre heutige Gr\u00f6\u00dfe mit ca. 55.000qm und einer Produktionskapazit\u00e4t von ca. 300.000 hl.<\/p>\n

Im Rahmen der Gebietsreform wurde die bis dahin selbstst\u00e4ndige Gemeinde Gauststadt nach Bamberg eingemeindet. Damit begannen auch die \u00dcberlegungen, Bamberg und seine Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten in den Markenauftritt der Brauerei mit einzubeziehen. Nach zweij\u00e4hriger Bauzeit konnte dann im M\u00e4rz 1969 der erste Sud Bier in der neuen Brauerei erfolgen. In weiteren drei Baustufen der Folgejahre erreichte die Brauerei ihre heutige Gr\u00f6\u00dfe mit ca. 55.000qm und einer Produktionskapazit\u00e4t von ca. 300.000 hl.<\/span><\/p>\n

Im Rahmen der Gebietsreform wurde die bis dahin selbstst\u00e4ndige Gemeinde Gauststadt nach Bamberg eingemeindet. Damit begannen auch die \u00dcberlegungen, Bamberg und seine Sehensw\u00fcrdigkeiten in den Markenauftritt der Brauerei mit einzubeziehen.
